The City of Kyle, a vibrant and youthful community located in Hays County, is perfectly situated along the booming Austin-San Antonio Interstate 35 corridor. In addition to the benefit of its strategic location in the heart of one of the fastest growing corridors in the nation, Kyle has an available workforce and quality education base with local higher education and workforce training opportunities. The City has ample acreage of available property, an affordable cost of living and doing business and a favorable tax structure.
Thanks to the City’s partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation and Hays County, Kyle has witnessed the transformation of much needed Interstate 35 improvements, including major roadway improvements and major upgrades to access roads and bridges, further enhancing safety and easing congestion. The City also has plans to expand upon these mobility improvements with additional roadway and infrastructure projects over the next several years to support continued growth and future development.
Kyle has experienced population growth that has multiplied six times over since the 2000 census. This population influx from 5,000 residents to approximately 30,000 has poised Kyle to become the largest city within Hays County. However, the City prides itself in maintaining a small town value system including creativity, integrity and dedication to its citizens and business community.
With the goal of becoming a full-service community, the City actively seeks to grow and diversify the tax base through local employment. The past five years have seen over 800,000 sq. ft. of medical facilities open or under construction, including a 54,000 sq. ft. Warm Springs Rehabilitation Hospital near Seton Medical Center Hays. Additionally, the Austin Community College Hays Campus in Plum Creek opened for classes Spring 2014 to 1,000 students.
Kyle strives to attract a diverse mix of companies and jobs where citizens can support their families and promote strong, balanced growth throughout the community that will complement the resources of the City and future growth.
