YETI Coolers LLC, an Austin-based cooler and drinkware company, plans to open its new headquarters in early 2017 in the to-be-built Lantana Ridge commercial development under construction at 7601 Southwest Parkway, Austin, said Seth Johnston, vice president of Lincoln Property Company, the project’s management agency. The tenancy agreement was signed at the end of January, he said.

The new headquarters will encompass 175,000 square feet in two buildings with a 177-space underground parking garage, Johnston said. YETI will be the only tenant in the project that broke ground Feb. 1, he said. The site may include amenities such as a rooftop deck, jogging trail and archery range, he said.

“[YETI] is an outdoor-themed company,” Johnston said. “They are already in the area and their employees live here. The outdoors encapsulates everything they’re about. Similarly, they liked the feel of [Lantana Ridge] in Southwest Austin—outside of the city.”

“We’re extremely happy to have a company of YETI’s caliber—built and founded in Austin—[at Lantana Ridge],” Johnston said. “We love working with Austin companies and this is a great success story.”
